Sheila Treleaven Bursary Award   

Sheila Treleaven was a Skate Amherstburg Board Member for many years and was incredibly dedicated to the club.  She was a great role model of kindness and compassion. 

Each year, in honour of Shelia, we present the Sheila Treleaven Bursary to a skater that demonstrates some of those same qualities.  This year's recipient is Violet Greco.

CanSkate Champions & CanSkater of the Year

These skaters are selected by our coaches based on a set of criteria including enthusiasm, participation, and development of skating skills throughout the season.  

The 2025-2025 CanSkater of the Year is Natalie Greco and CanSkate Champions are Ella Butcher & Phoebe Amoah

Program Assistant of the Year

Each year, our coaches choose one Program Assistant that goes above and beyond the call of duty. This volunteer skater shows great initiative, punctuality, and enthusiasm during every canskate session. Without these program assistants, CanSkate would not be a successful program.

The 2024-2025 PA of the Year is Quinn Beaudoin.  She has been skating with Skate Amherstburg

Volunteer of the Year

Skate Amherstburg is a volunteer run organization and without our volunteers there would be no club.

This year's Volunteer of the year is Teaghan Laframboise.  Teaghan has been with us since she was 6 years old.  Also a busy competitive dancer, Teaghan still gives hours of her time to Skate Amherstburg both on the ice and off the ice.  Recently, she has stepped up to help with
